Book Review: Wear No Evil – A Guide To Ethical Fashion
Sometimes it doesn’t take a big change to make a difference. After watching the documentary The True Cost (https://truecostmovie.com/) I want to learn so much more about ethical fashion and how I could do my part. This book, Wear No Evil – A Guide To Ethical Fashion is a great resource. This book takes you through the conditions within the last few years. What it takes to make a garment (you’d be surprised just what goes into making a simple T-Shirt!), and introduces you to some amazing brands that you’ll definitely want to support. Wear No Evil breaks it down into fibers to look for and avoid. Admittedly there were…

How To Use Dill From The Garden – Homemade Dill Dressing
Not sure what to do with all of that dill in your garden? Make a quick and easy dill dressing to use on salads or use with cooking. This is my favorite homemade dill dressing (so far 😋), tastes great and takes about 5 minutes to whip up. Feel free to experiment with different flavors of olive oil and if you need to make a larger batch simply double or triple the recipe! ¼ cup dill-infused olive oil – here’s the one I use 1 tbsp red wine vinegar 1 tsp lemon juice or freshly squeezed lemon 1 tsp fresh dill – you can use dried but you will get…

My Famous Sweet and Tangy Deviled Egg Recipe
Almost everyone loves deviled eggs Almost everyone in our family loves deviled eggs so we make them pretty frequently. These are so delicious and easy to take on the go. I usually use farm-fresh eggs and tend to use the larger ones for this but if I’m making this into an egg salad any size will do. I admit I am not the best at using exact measurements so this is the base of where I start and then I add a bit more until I reach the desired taste. We tend to like ours to be a bit more on the sweeter side so it just depends on what…

Sage It – Create a Calming Space
Cleanse the home of negative energy Ah, I love a good cleansing of my home. I smoke cleanse my house or myself whenever I feel out of balance or there seems to be a lot of negative energy around. I also use it to banish bad dreams that have been reoccurring for a few days. Smudging is well-established in Native American culture and has been used for many, many years. It is seen as a spiritual healer by most and is something that must be respected and done with good intentions. Most types of sage that are commonly used have antimicrobial properties so it is great for literally cleansing the…

It’s Tea Time! Where to Find My Favorite Tea Brands
Tea Time I am a huge tea lover if you haven’t already figured it out. I drink a few (which may be an understatement) every day. I used to be a coffee drinker but caffeine is a trigger if you have anxiety, at least for me. If you want to read about my journey of removing caffeine it can be found here. Of all the teas I’ve tried my favorite is The Republic of Tea. They have so many great options that don’t have caffeine or very low amounts. The ones I suggest are Blackberry Sage which comes in caffeinated and non-caffeinated options, Get Relaxed, and Chamomile Lemon, both great…
