Mind + Body Alignment
Of course, I’m not a trained professional, but these are just things I have found work for me on my mental and spiritual journey. It may not be for everyone; as always, consult your doctor. These are just things I have found that I LOVE to use daily or in extreme bouts of anxiety.

What Is a Normal Life?
How Do We Define Normal? What is a normal life? We’re told from a young age what the steps are in life that will make us responsible, happy adults. Go to school, graduate high school, go to college, graduate college, get a good job, get married, have kids…and on it goes. As if life is supposed to just be this one extensive checklist of things to do, and then we’re taught to believe that doing these things will make us happy. That you made it in life. Not the case for everyone. Not everyone is wired the same, and that is OK. That’s what makes this world so exciting and…

The Spirit or Aether Element + FREE Yoga Flow
Is It Four Elements or Five? As we wrap up our series on the four elements, we get to the point where the question is asked, are there four elements, or are there five? In researching and learning about the four elements, I’ve concluded that there are indeed 5. Well, I guess that depends on where you’re looking for your research. It immediately takes your mind for a walk through a magical forest full of beautiful creatures, a sense of wonder, and a fresh start. So, what is the history behind this magical tree? What ancient traditions are you releasing when you smudge? What are the ethics behind harvesting its gifts? What is Palo Santo used for? Palo…

Sage It – Create a Calming Space
Cleanse the home of negative energy Ah, I love a good cleansing of my home. I smoke cleanse my house or myself whenever I feel out of balance or there seems to be a lot of negative energy around. I also use it to banish bad dreams that have been reoccurring for a few days. Smudging is well-established in Native American culture and has been used for many, many years. It is seen as a spiritual healer by most and is something that must be respected and done with good intentions. Most types of sage that are commonly used have antimicrobial properties so it is great for literally cleansing the…

It’s Tea Time! Where to Find My Favorite Tea Brands
Tea Time I am a huge tea lover if you haven’t already figured it out. I drink a few (which may be an understatement) every day. I used to be a coffee drinker but caffeine is a trigger if you have anxiety, at least for me. If you want to read about my journey of removing caffeine it can be found here. Of all the teas I’ve tried my favorite is The Republic of Tea. They have so many great options that don’t have caffeine or very low amounts. The ones I suggest are Blackberry Sage which comes in caffeinated and non-caffeinated options, Get Relaxed, and Chamomile Lemon, both great…
