Sage It – Create a Calming Space
Cleanse the home of negative energy Ah, I love a good cleansing of my home. I smoke cleanse my house or myself whenever I feel out of balance or there seems to be a lot of negative energy around. I also use it to banish bad dreams that have been reoccurring for a few days. Smudging is well-established in Native American culture and has been used for many, many years. It is seen as a spiritual healer by most and is something that must be respected and done with good intentions. Most types of sage that are commonly used have antimicrobial properties so it is great for literally cleansing the…

It’s Tea Time! Where to Find My Favorite Tea Brands
Tea Time I am a huge tea lover if you haven’t already figured it out. I drink a few (which may be an understatement) every day. I used to be a coffee drinker but caffeine is a trigger if you have anxiety, at least for me. If you want to read about my journey of removing caffeine it can be found here. Once I drank over what my threshold was, and let us be honest this was…

Need to Manage Anxiety? Try Adding Magnesium
What can cause anxiety? One thing I found in researching anxiety disorders is that there can be a direct correlation between vitamin levels in your body and anxiety. One of the main culprits I came across was low Magnesium levels. I first tried your standard supplement pill but found that it made me so nauseous. Once again, my local Co-op came to my rescue, and I found this fantastic product, Natural Calm. This is a powder Magnesium supplement I add to my morning tea EVERY day, usually 1 ½ TSP. Let me warn you…this will loosen, um, the number twos. So, I suggest starting with ½ to 1 TSP and…

Why It All Started
This is what finally pushed me to start this blog, it was Christmas of 2018…This holiday season was one that started like many have before, running around last-minute trying to figure out how we were going to fit seeing everyone into the few days we had. I’m sure you can relate. I found myself getting lost in the whirlwind that the holidays bring. Christmas day changed my view on life in only a short amount of time. Christmas Eve was spent with my dad and family. During our time together I found out how truly sick my grandmother was. I knew that she had been moved out of her home…
